Hi Fernando,
Check in table T156SY which is the Quantity String (T156SY-BUSTM) for your movement type.
Then go to table T156M, access the table with the Quantity String and check here... in this table you have the stock type.
Kind Regards,
Mariano

Hello,
In CFM1, section Material Independent Objects you have to choose SetUp Groups check box.
If you set the indicator, you will include setup group keys and setup groups in your integration model.
When the integration model is activated, the setup group keys and setup groups
available in the relevant plant are transferred to SAP APO and should create the setup matrix.

Hi All,
I am looking at ways within SAP that I could differentiate materials/inventory that are consignment and owned inventory...
We have a department that are experiencing difficulties performing cylce counts as they both owned and consignments parts and materials and it is currently done manually.
Is there a way for us to generate a single inventory that includes both owned and consignment in the same report?
Any help would be great!
Cheers!
Wendell
Hi Wendell,
If you have batch management and WM, this should not be a problem.. In this case, you should be able to identify where each batch is located and if the batch is consignment or own.
If not, then execpt you separate the inventory in different storage locations, the inventory could be mixed.
Anyway, I recommend you to move this thread to SAP MM:
SAP ERP - Logistics Materials Management (SAP MM)

How could it help to have both categories in one document if you have difficulties to know which physical part belongs to which category in SAP?
In SAP you have anyway a special stock indicator for consignment stock and technically the consignment stock is stored in a different table.
Thanks Marius!
Tried this, both at plant level and individually. It CIFed all the setup groups and keys, but not setup matrix.
Have you tried it yourself? If yes, could you please details the steps.

Subhash
Hi Subhash,
Please open this link to see the details:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm70/helpdata/EN/89/bd3e42ce98033be10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
You perform the data transfer in the following sequence:
Thanks, Marius
Hi Wendell,
Assumption is you are attempting Cycle Counting in IM environment, the cycle counting is active only for stocks materials listed on table MBEW, and MICN generates Cycle Count documents for own stock to that respect.
Cycle counting in IM does not include "Special Stocks" such as Consignment, Project etc. To mitigate the risk of physical mix-up of materials, separate storage location for consignment stocks is the best way to deal.
Thanks,
Kashi
Hi Mariano,
I'm sorry for reporting the movemente type wrong. I created the movement type ZF1 with copy of movement type 503 (the 504 is related to the reversal).
For ZF1 contains no record in T156SY table, but checking on the transaction OMJJ field BUSTM = "MAA2".
To not have to change the record in table T156M you know which screen / transaction i can make that change?
Regards,
Hi Fernando,
Table T156M is maintained directly in the table.
Read note:
490919
- T156M-SISEG: Entries in table T156M incomplete
You can see how SAP asks to maintain the entries directly in the table:
The error is corrected as of Release 4.7 in the standard system. To correct the
error in advance, change field SISEG from '' to I01 in the following lines of
table T156M:
(SE16 -> V_156M -> Change)
Something similar is mentioned in different threads. So go directly to the table.
Kind Regards,
Mariano
Thanks Marius! That was helpful.
This means we cannot CIF setup matrices from ECC. We are raising an OSS note for this.

Dear SCN Experts,
I work for an Indian based MNC as a SAP PI/PO expert from past 6 years .For one of the immediate client requirement (support role) @Client location(USA) ,I'm asked to switch over to SAP SCM APO .They are not forcing me to switch over .They left option open to me .They said they will provide relevant KT on SCM .
I'm in dilemma what to do .Could you please suggest as early as possible.
1)What is the market share for SAP SCM product when compared to other SCM vendors like oracle ?
2)How much time does it take to settle down ?
3)Is it recommended ? because I don't have ABAP knowledge, but I'm having strong base in Core Java Development.
4)Does this makes my career end in mess ?
Regards
Venkat
Dear SCM APO Experts,
Could you please share your suggestions .

Dear all, I would greatly appreciate a reply in regards to using the GR message feature on the SAP (purchase order).
How does the GR message get send out? Via email and if so where would you be able to allocate this email address for this to be aware?
I have already tested this and have asked the warehouse to alert me if it appears on the handheld instead of the email.
Nothing on either situatuion
I would love to have this GR messaging inplemented as in the event a Very important item arrives, I would like to know (and or be notified)
Any suggestion would be well welcomed
Thank you and regards - Simpson
Hi Simpson,
I suppose you can configure an output determination to manage your requirement at the time the GR is done.
Go to t-code NACE, select application ME Inventory Management and check Output types. You can use MLGR or create a new Output type.. it could be send by email here.
In addition, you will need to maintain the conditions to determine your output... You can also do this in t-code NACE. Select ME and press condition records.
Finally, I suppose this thread should be moved to the MM space:
SAP ERP - Logistics Materials Management (SAP MM)
Here a MM expert will help you.
Kind Regards,
Mariano
Hi,
Strange ,not even a single suggestion from SCM experts.

Venkat
Hi Venkat,
I am not sure what are the possibilities for a SAP PO/PI consultant in the market.. It would not be correct to give a recommendation without a real perspective.
I just can mentioned a few things related to APO SCM.
Let me try to share my opinion of your 4 points:
1- I think most of the companies that have ECC will choose APO SCM rather than a SCM application in other platform (like oracle). So the comparison against Oracle would be correct if you are evaluating to convert yourself into a consultant of an Oracle Solution and this is not the case..
If you compare SAP vs Oracle, Oracle seems to be in the first place, base on forbes:
IDC's Business Analytics Market Share Update Shows Oracle In The Lead - Forbes
2- I am not sure if we can tell you how much time you will take to settle down. This depends on you and on what settle down means for you. It also depends on if you have a Supply chain background or not. If you don't you maybe will be working in the dark.. meaning that you will be learning lot of things without a real idea of what you are learining.
3-If you have or not ABAP knowledge is not relevant. You can be a very good SCM consultant without any knowledge of ABAP.
4- I don't understand what do you mean with this expresion (sorry about it). Just note that you carreer depend 100% of you.
As an additional comment, just note that SAP is being ending the support of APO in 2020. This does not means that APO will disappear.. just wanted to let you know that something new is coming.. read about HANA, APO, etc..
Here you have a thread to start with a reading:
Will SAP substitute APO with some other tool ?
Good luck!
Kind Regards,
Mariano
Hi everyone,
First I should mention I have just started to use SAP. I am currently working on a postponement strategy for a product. The whole idea is to reduce the number of SKUs (variants) in the business plan forecast and create SKUs later on in the warehouse.
Any ideas what data I should consider to compare the actual is-scenario with the future postponement scenario?
I was thinking about
+ Production costs
+ Storage costs = SUM((Costs per product per day*Products in warehouse per day)/(Products sold))
+ Shipping costs = (Total shipping costs of all SKUs [variants])/(Products sold)
+ Interest = SUM(((Capital in warehouse)/(day)) * ((Interest rate)/(365)))
I have most of the figures. However I cannot find a suitable transaction in SAP that gives a table with columns for the number of products in the warehouse (e.g. five columns for five products) and the date from 01/01/2013 - 31/12/2013 in the rows.
Date | SKU1 | SKU2 | SKU3 |
---|---|---|---|
01/01/2013 | 5 | 10 | ... |
02/01/2013 | 10 | 70 | ... |
03/01/2013 | 5 | 5 | ... |
... | ... | ... | ... |
31/12/2013 | 20 | 0 | ... |
Eventually I would be interested in creating a query to do the whole analysis for me. At this stage I am more focused on getting the data at all and come up with a accurate model.
Any ideas are appreciated.
